Here are some of the big events happening over the next few weeks across Cumbria and the Lake District:

Snow Queen 

November 29 until January 16 Expect plenty of jokes, fantastic visuals, songs, and dancing at the Theatre by the Lake's festive show.

Paddy McGuinness 

February 7. Take Me Out host is heading to the Sands Centre with his show Daddy Mcguinness.

Heather Small 

February 10. The M People singer will be performing all her hits at the Forum in Barrow, including Proud and Moving On Up.

Keswick Film Festival  

February 25 - February 28. Cumbria's answer to Sundance, the festival is your chance to experience around 30 of the best UK independent and international films.

Every month throughout 2015 there are dozens of first rate events around Cumbria that are worthy of being tourist attractions in their own right.

You''ll find great theatre at venues such as Theatre by the Lake in Keswick and the Old Laundry in Bowness as well as a rich array of art and social history in exhibitions at places such as Tullie House in Carlisle, Abbot Hall in Kendal and Rheged near Penrith.

If you have children to cater for you'll always find lots of indoor and outdoor activities such as daring climbing walls or fun events during weekends and holidays for children.
