Animal Rescue Cumbria and The Wainwright Shelter take in, rehabilitate and rehome 350 cats and dogs every year. Once their cats are ready to find a new family, they can be advertised for adoption.

Meet the lovely felines currently looking for their forever homes…

Three kittens, called DRAX, GROOT and THANOS are estimated to be around ten weeks old.

The Mail:

They haven’t had the best start in life but are slowly learning to trust people.

Drax, Groot and Thanos would be able to find a new home altogether or individually.

They enjoy a fuss and are looking for an extra special home with someone who can continue to build their confidence.

They could live with older children, over 12 years old and a cat-friendly dog with slow introductions.

The boys would prefer a quiet home where they can explore outside once neutered.

GAMORA the black cat, is estimated to be around 16 weeks old.

The Mail:

She has had a rough start in her life and can be quite timid, so she is looking for a caring, understanding owner to help build her confidence.

Gamora had cat flu when she was really young, which means she is unable to live with another cat.

She could potentially live with a cat-friendly dog, if introduced correctly and older children, over the age of ten.

Animal Rescue Cumbria said she is hoping to find a caring, understanding family to help gain her trust and show her how to be confident in herself!

Once she has settled into her new home and been neutered, she would love access to explore the great outdoors.

SWEETIE and GEMMY are a pair of tortoise and brown eight years old cats.

The Mail:

This bonded pair are ready to find their forever home together, they are looking for a quiet home with an understanding owner.

They need a family who will be patient and help build up their confidence again.

Sweetie and Gemmy need a home where there are no other pets and no young children – they need to be at least over 14 years old.

They enjoy one another’s company and would like access to explore the great outdoors once they have settled in.
