ULVERSTON'S biggest celebration of live music, street theatre and arts arrives on June 17 and 18, so all this week we're shining the spotlight on the must-see acts.

Twang

The Twang DJs have been hosting their own radio show since the end of last year, which has been riding high in the worldwide Mixcloud charts.

As well as hosting the hugely-popular Twang indie nights in Barrow, the pair also curate a stage at Another Fine Fest for the first time, whilst also managing sets at the start and the end of the day, and contributing to the AFF Mash-up event in the evening.

Gripper

The Sonic Zoo founder and curator of the Amigos Courtyard stage once again, Gripper is well-known to all in Furness, having established his name over the past three decades.

Now with a regular residency at Amsterdam's Kashmir Lounge and a regular show on Sonic Zoo Radio, he is as busy as ever - but still found time recently to work on a track for house label Bottom Line, which reached number two in the UK soul chart.
